Hi, nice to meet you!

I’m Ilse Meijer, a 2D motion designer, illustrator and cat mom based in Arnhem, the Netherlands, with a love for storytelling and the world.

After finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Multimedia Design in 2016, I worked at a small animation studio in Rotterdam, where I made many explainer animations and got to help out on the occasional music video. In 2021 I made the leap to go full time freelance, which means I now work from my cozy home office with my kitty assistant Dino.

In my free time I love going out sketching with friends, watching cartoons and handing out stickers to people I meet if I have some on hand. I also tend to organize clubs to learn new skills with people, as I love bringing people together to work on something they love.

With over 6 years of experience working in the motion design and animation industry, I have worked on projects for varying brands such as King.com, Rumbleverse, Doritos, American Express, LOI Hogeschool and Mediamarkt.

Being a freelance motion designer gives me the opportunity to meet new people and work on a bigger range of projects. I love bringing people’s stories to life and helping them to reach their audience in a compelling way.

I make sure your story gets told in a way the viewer will love and remember. And if you’re a studio; I love helping out on projects when it gets too busy.
